I am going to see Beowulf this weekend. I love the 3d graphics although I base this opinion from the trailer of the movie. I can't comment on the moving underwater part. Although, if we speak of mo'cap, the monster house is a good example and the movements of the characters is not half its speed and I just love the quirky actions the characters made. The movie A scanner darkly is also a good movie with live action and rotoscoping blend perfectly.
